Tokenomics Allocation Calculator

Model how your token's total supply is distributed across key stakeholder groups.

How it is calculated

You set three percentages and the treasury gets whatever is left. team = total_supply × team% ÷ 100, investors = total_supply × investors% ÷ 100, community = total_supply × community% ÷ 100 and treasury = total_supply − team − investors − community. There is no treasury percentage field; its share is the remainder, 100% minus your three entries. The three percentages may add up to 100 or less; a total above 100 returns no result. Token counts are displayed as whole numbers, so with an odd supply or fractions the shown figures can differ from the supply by a token. The tool only divides supply and says nothing about vesting schedules, unlock dates or whether a split is sound.

Worked example

A project has a total supply of 1,000,000,000 tokens. Community gets 40%: 1,000,000,000 × 40% = 400,000,000 tokens. Team at 15% gets 150,000,000 and investors at 20% get 200,000,000. The three entries add up to 75%, so the treasury receives the remaining 25%: 1,000,000,000 − 400,000,000 − 150,000,000 − 200,000,000 = 250,000,000 tokens.

Common mistakes

  • Typing a treasury percentage and expecting it to be used. There is no such field: the treasury is the remainder, so lower the other three entries if you want a larger treasury.
  • Entering percentages that add up to more than 100. The tool then returns nothing, so check that team, investors and community together are 100 or less.
  • Confusing total supply with circulating supply. The tool splits the number you enter, so use the maximum or total supply if you want to see the full allocation.
  • Treating allocation as tokens available on day one. Most of the team and investor share is usually locked or vesting, and this tool does not show unlock timing.
  • Entering fractions such as 0.15 instead of 15 for a 15% share. That would read as 0.15% and allocate a hundredth of what you meant.

About this calculator

Tokenomics allocation refers to how a cryptocurrency project divides its total token supply among stakeholder groups — typically the founding team, early investors, the community (via airdrops, rewards, or public sale), and a treasury reserved for future development — expressed as percentages laid out in the project's whitepaper before launch. These allocation percentages directly shape a token's incentive structure and are heavily scrutinized by prospective investors, since a supply weighted too heavily toward the team or early investors is a common red flag for potential sell pressure once vesting periods end.

Crypto founders and token designers use allocation models like this during the initial design phase to balance competing needs: enough allocation to the team and investors to fund development and attract capital, enough to the community to drive adoption and decentralization, and a treasury reserve for ongoing grants, partnerships, or ecosystem incentives after launch.

This calculator takes a total token supply and percentage allocations for team, investors, and community, treats whatever is left as the treasury, and returns the token count assigned to each of the four groups. The three percentages cannot add up to more than 100%.
