How do I change text case?
Result
How it is calculated
The tool takes your text and produces seven versions at once. UPPER and lower change every letter; Title Case lowercases all and then capitalises the first letter after a space, hyphen, slash or opening bracket; Sentence case capitalises only the very first character. For the code styles, the text is lowercased and split at every run of characters that is not a letter or digit; apostrophes are removed first, so "don't stop" becomes dontStop. The words are then joined as camelCase (first word lowercase, others capitalised), snake_case (underscores) and kebab-case (hyphens). Every alphabet is converted, including ç, ş, ü and é, and those letters stay inside the words in the code styles. On the Turkish page, i/İ and ı/I follow Turkish rules. Empty text gives no result.
Worked example
Input: Hello World from Claude. Upper: HELLO WORLD FROM CLAUDE. Lower: hello world from claude. Title: Hello World From Claude. Sentence: Hello world from claude. Splitting into the words hello, world, from, claude gives camelCase helloWorldFromClaude, snake_case hello_world_from_claude and kebab-case hello-world-from-claude.
Common mistakes
- Using the English page for Turkish text. Accented letters convert, but the English page turns i into I; the Turkish page applies the Turkish i/İ and ı/I rules.
- Expecting Title Case to leave small words alone. Every word is capitalised, so "the lord of the rings" becomes "The Lord Of The Rings".
- Expecting Sentence case to capitalise every sentence. It capitalises only the first letter of the whole text.
- Putting symbols in the text and expecting them to stay in the identifiers. In camel, snake and kebab output, punctuation is stripped and acts as a word break; only apostrophes join the word.
- Pasting a variable that is already camelCase. The words are not detected inside it, so
myVarNamestays one word.
About this calculator
This tool reformats a block of text into different letter-casing conventions — UPPERCASE for emphasis, lowercase for uniformity, Title Case for headings, Sentence case for normal prose, and the programming-specific styles camelCase, snake_case and kebab-case used for variable and file naming.
Writers and editors use it to quickly fix text that was typed in the wrong case (like an accidentally caps-locked paragraph) or to format headlines consistently, while developers use the programming case styles to rename a variable or convert a spreadsheet column into a valid code identifier without retyping it by hand.

The camelCase, snake_case and kebab-case lines are handy for turning a plain phrase into a variable, file or URL name. Apostrophes join a word, so don't stop becomes dontStop, while other punctuation splits words. On the Turkish page the dotted and dotless i follow Turkish rules, which is worth checking on names. Which other naming styles, such as PascalCase or CONSTANT_CASE, would you like to see added?
